WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO BECOME LEADERS

To be a scout you should join a Scout Troop or a Cub Pack in your community, with the permission of your parents.  Before becoming a Scout, you must pass the Tenderfoot Test.  This is a simple test just to show that you are worth your salt and mean to stick to it.  When you have satisfied your Scoutleader, the man in charge of your Troop, you will be invested as a Scout and entitled to wear theTenderfoot Badge.

Scout Promise

"On my honour I promise that I will do my best.
To love and serve God, my Country ,and the Queen,
To help other people, and to obey the Scout Laws".

At your investiture as a Scout you will make the Scout Promise
in front of the rest of the Troop.  This promise is a very diffult one to keep, but it is a most seroius one, and no boy or girl is a Scout unless they does their best to live up to their Promise.
So you see, Scouting is not only fun, but it requires a lot from you, and I know I can trust you to do everything you possible can to keep your Scout Promise.
